Message for Families

  • I will have a list of upcoming community events or education for families posted by my entrance.  Please share any events you know of to pass the word.

  • We have a private facebook page to share photos and activities that are currently happening at Cindy’s Kids for your enjoyment. Please ask how to view this

  • I will have a resource list available for families in need.

  • New forms for medical changes or to update enrollment information will also be available on this site under Forms.

  • Please let me know what goals are important to you that Cindy’s Kids can help with.

  • Family surveys will be given to parents.  I will listen and try to make any changes to provide the best care possible.  Your ideas and opinions count!

Clothing and Toy  Exchange

Children grow so fast.  Families can bring clothing that is too small for their children and exchange it for larger sizes at no cost.  You do not need to donate to receive clothes or toys.  How fun is it to see cute outfits pass through the many families we serve.     Just bring clean, gently used clothing from newborn to adult.  Several times a year Cindy’s kids will donate unclaimed items to Local shelters.

As your children have outgrown their toys and books, consider donating to Cindy’s Kids for others to enjoy.

.

Cindy’s Kids facilitates and supports appropriate adult-child interactions.

  • Cindy’s Kids will use open-ended dialog to engage in frequent conversation with children.  Example:  Tell me about what you are drawing.

  • Cindy’s Kids will be in close physical proximity to children example: We will get in the garden and look for worms!

  • Cindy’s Kids will join children’s activities Example: Build Legos with child instead of watching

  • Cindy’s Kids will use positive comments and encouragement with children Example:  Wow, I like the way you are careful with my books.

  • Cindy’s Kids will acknowledge and validate children’s emotions Example: I see you are missing Mom today, let’s go make her a picture for her.

  • Cindy’s Kids will focus interactions on children’s activities and interests.   Example:  If a child loves trains or tractors let's read up on them.

Parents, please share ideas your child may be especially interested in.

I love it when parents feel welcome to stay and observe their child play, have a meal, or do a craft with us.  This seems to work best at the end of day not at drop off time.   Children enjoy showing you what they did.

A Final Note

I am always open to suggestions and feel communication is a very important part of this business.  If there are any problems or concerns, I encourage you to talk to me about it.  If a lengthy conference is needed, a time that is convenient for both of us will be scheduled — as the other children still need my attention during business hours.  Thank you for the opportunity to work with you and your child.
